A memorable year on the golf links for Natalie Bird got a whole lot more so Wednesday. The Carl Junction senior sank a par putt on the second playoff whole to beat Mt. Vernon’s Jeanna Brewer and win the MSU Golf Relays. Both golfers finished with scores of 77 then parred the first playoff whole to setup the finish. Kickapoo won the team competition, their 7th win this year, by 33 strokes over 2nd place Camdenton. In boys soccer, Kickapoo got a goal from Lane Chapman in the 61st minute to down Glendale 1-0. And it took 23 days, but Webb City and Republic finally completed their September 9th game that was suspended by darkness. Webb City wins it in the 13th inning as Laney Knieb singled to drive in the winning run.
