With the fall sports season officially over, our question of the week asks what was the best moment of the fall?  I’ve listed a number of my favorites for you to choose from.  I could have listed another half dozen at least easily but we’ll go with this.  Anyone that wants to post their favorite moment other than these is welcome to share.  Vote now!

What was the best moment of the fall sports season?

  • Cassville winning the state class 3 football championship. (48%, 45 Votes)
  • Caleb Schaffitzel breaking the state TD record. (18%, 17 Votes)
  • Hailey Johnson's game winning grand slam to send Republic to the final four. (12%, 11 Votes)
  • Oct. 29th weather driven district football. (5%, 5 Votes)
  • Ozark winning the state class 4 volleyball championship. (4%, 4 Votes)
  • Mitch Jenkins passing for 7 TD and rushing for an eighth in a single game for Hillcrest. (4%, 4 Votes)
  • Kickapoo's Rozell sisters winning the state class 2 double tennis championship. (3%, 3 Votes)

    I saw several of these first hand, and while it’s not as high profile, Hailey Johnson’s walk-off grand slam was EASILY the most amazing moment of the season. That moment was Sportscenter worthy!

      I totally agree with you. You see a few walk off home runs each year. But rarely a walk off salami. And a walk off slam with so much on the line? Almost never.

    Whats up with Cassville winning the title having 37 votes? Though I admit that it was a HUGE accomplishment there is some other stuff on that list that should be much closer in the voting. Is Big 8 fans the only one that looks at this site? LOL.

      I admit that I’m surprised by how close it isn’t also. There are some awesome moments that we had around here this fall. But I can assure you that it’s not just Big 8 fans voting that way. I even saw a couple of votes from SCA country for it.
