2008 COC-Small Football Predictions
By Joboo | August 28, 2008
The COC Small Division adds Catholic to the mix and returns a trio of very experienced teams.
| Team | record | conf record |
| Rogersville | 10-0 | 5-0 |
| Bolivar | 9-1 | 4-1 |
| Marshfield | 6-4 | 3-2 |
| Buffalo | 4-6 | 1-4 |
| Catholic | 3-7 | 1-4 |
| Reeds Spring | 3-7 | 1-4 |
Rogersville is my pick on a hunch and the schedule. The Wildcats, Liberators, and Blue Jays all return lots of starters and varsity experience. But Rogersville strikes me as the breakout team of the year. Bolivar returns 18 starters, the entire backfield, and some big linemen. I have them for only 1 loss at Rogersville Sept 12. Marshfield has 35 lettermen back, but a young line puts them a cut below. Buffalo should be one of the more fun teams to watch on defense this year. Cody Rosier, 6′5″, and Weston Wallace, 6′9″, are going to cause some havoc. Catholic debuts in the COC with only 6 starters returning but should still be able to repeat last years win total at least. Reeds Spring should be improved over last year, but still has a way to go toward challenging.
- Coach of the year - Doug Smith, Rogersville
- Offensive player of the year - Derek Lee, Bolivar
- Defensive player of the year - Cody Rosier, Buffalo
