    2008/2009 football districts

    By Joboo | January 25, 2008

The new district assignments have been announced and there are some significant moves.  Class 3 & 4 are the most affected as class 3 powers Harrisonville, MICDS, Westminster Christian, Grain Valley, Platte County, & Bolivar all make the move to class 4.  MSHSAA also took a different tack on class 5 districts.  It was expected that 8 districts consisting of 5-6 teams would be announced.  Instead there will be 10 4-team districts & 1 5-team district.  The class 5 playoff bracket will be interesting to see when it’s released.

Ozarks teams on the move include Cabool(down to class 1), Diamond(up to class 2), Catholic(up to class 3), Mountain Grove(up to class 3), East Newton(up to class 4), Nevada(up to class 4), Bolivar(up to class 4), Ozark(up to class 5), & Nixa(up to class 5).  All districts that involve Ozarks teams are listed below.  And the local boys are bolded.
