Since the rain demolished the local sports scene yesterday, I’d like to take a moment to say hello to the newest member of the OzarksSports.Net state family, North Dakota!
That’s right. Yesterday someone from Bismarck, North Dakota visited leaving just 6 states that have not witnessed the majesty that is OzarksSports.Net.
For those or you not familiar with ND outside of the movie Fargo, hockey is the favorite sport in the state. This is bolstered by the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey team. One of the great NCAA division 1 hockey programs in the country owning 7 national championships and having produced 2 Hobey Baker award winners. Tony Hrkac in 1987 and Ryan Duncan in 2007.
Not to be overlooked is North Dakota State University. The Bison are a NCAA division II power having recorded 20 team championships in 6 different men’s & women’s sports. Including 8 national titles for the football team.
And so dear readers, I give you North Dakota. And North Dakota, thanks for stopping by. If you would, tell South Dakota to get off it’s duff and take a look too. Thanks.
