Some areas of the Ozarks avoided the rains yesterday and got their various sporting events in. Glendale and Waynesville both kept up their recent run of good play on the soccer pitch. Glendale defeating Hillcrest 8-0 and Waynesville downing Joplin 4-0. Eight different players scored for the Lady Falcons while Katie Pritchard had a hat trick for the Lady Tigers. And on the diamond, Jonathon Bacheller was 3 for 4 with a home run to lead Ava to a come from behind 7-6 win over Mansfield.
