Light action as always on Wednesday. But no event in the Ozarks carries as much emotion as the Pearson Invitational played in honor of former Kickapoo golf coach Jim Pearson. And the Kickapoo girls honored their old coach even more by winning the event by 47 strokes over Mt. Vernon with Joplin finishing third. Mt. Vernon’s Jeanna Brewer took medalist honors.
