Great softball battle last night as Carthage took the measure of Republic 1-0.  Republic actually outhit Carthage 6-4 in the game. But in the bottom of the seventh, Sheyan Irwin found herself at third after a walk, a steal of second, and a sacrifice bunt.  Whitney Triplett then stepped up and drove her in to end the contest.

In volleyball, Ozark won a battle of unbeaten state-ranked teams as they downed Reeds Spring 2-0 to improve their record to 5-0.  The Lady Wolves fell to 4-1.  Strafford also moved to 5-0 on the season with a straight set win over Mountain Grove.
