Some good action from Saturday, including the New Covenant soccer team’s ‘revenge’ tour hitting a snag in Cassville as they fell to the Wildcats 3-2. I talked with a couple of Cassville’s soccer players Friday night at the Mt. Vernon/Cassville football game. And while neither seemed upset about the ‘revenge’ comment published in the News-Leader, both of them did mention it. Great game as Cassville overcame a second half deficit to get the win on a goal in the closing moments. In softball, Nixa beat Glendale 8-0 to won their third straight Nixa Invitational behind a perfect game from Hallie Petersen. The Lady Eagles also beat Parkview 8-0 and Walnut Grove 4-0.
