Back to fun
By Joboo | August 13, 2008
Back to fun? Well, this isn’t really work. So I’d be lying if the title was back to work. And I’m all about the truth. So, let the fun begin.
Football practices began in the area yesterday. Softball and volleyball teams are preparing. Boys swimming teams are getting ready. And don’t forget girls tennis, boys soccer, and cross country. Whew! Nothing like easing back into the school year.
And so it is at OzarksSports also. Full speed ahead I say! In that spirit, you’ll notice that the long-awaited links page has been posted today. I can 100% guarantee you that I’ve not got every site worth seeing. But I hope you can find something that interests you there and it will be updated on an ongoing basis. Also, I’m preparing the football preview for next week including predictions for every team and conference. And I hope to put the finishing touches on some other projects that have got scattered attention throughout the summer.
Another year is upon us. Our first full year to attempt to cover here at OzarksSports. Who knows what lies ahead. Come June, you may be trying to hold onto some great memories for life. Or wishing your brain was an Etch-a-Sketch that you could just shake and clear. The future may be hopeful and bright. The past may be depressing and discouraging. New articles of school clothing could be finding their way into your closet, or you may have a ceremonial bonfire to get rid of that unlucky jersey. But that’s the joy of sports. The real fun is always in the journey. So enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the kind words Kim. That’s the great thing about covering high school sports. You have a built in vacation if you want it. Hopefully next summer I’ll have enough other things to cover that I’ll keep posting straight through. Thanks again and keep reading.
