One doesn’t have to search very far into the past to find instances of misinformation being spread about Webb City football on the MoSports football message board. So it was with a big grain of skepticism that I read about some suspensions that were forthcoming for some Cardinal players. But, in this case, it appears that the smoke really was from a fire and wasn’t just a bluff.
The Carthage Press is reporting today that players have been suspended from both Carthage and Webb City for their regional playoff games tomorrow. Separate incidents are cited and the nature of the incidents are not given. Nor will we speculate on them here. Neither are names given. If you absolutely have to know, I’m sure you can go to the game and figure it out. An unspecified number of Carthage players and three Webb City players will miss the games tomorrow according to the article. You can read the full article here.
But I can say that I have it from a credible source that for Webb City, two players have been dismissed from the team, and a third has been suspended for two games. No further information on the Carthage players do I have. And that’s all I’m going to say or post on the subject. We’ve all made mistakes, and these young men have been punished for theirs. Nothing else needs to be said.
