Wow! I really thought this one would be closer. Honestly I did. The top vote getter isn’t a surprise, but the margin is. You have spoken and you were far and away more shocked by the #1 seed Nixa girls losing in districts than anyone else. The Lady Eagles were given 78% of the vote, [...] With the class 4 and 5 districts concluded, we can look back now and see very few upsets. The lowest seed to win a district was the Hillcrest girls coming from the #3 spot in their district. And only four #1 seeds didn’t win their district title. MVP Joe Jackson of White Station is the obvious choice after 2 years of brilliance. But Hillcrest’s Doriel Green also had a strong tournament. The Wildcats topped our poll asking who would do the best at state by taking 31% of the vote. Miller’s four game run through the Walnut Grove Classic included a 45 point performance by Wilkerson in the final and netted her 36% of the vote.
