    9/6 scores

    Sunday, September 7th, 2008

Vernon/Cassville football game.  And while neither seemed upset about the ‘revenge’ comment published in the News-Leader, [...]

    Other Friday action

    Saturday, September 6th, 2008

I know some people may be shocked to hear this.  But (brace yourself) there are sports other than football played on Fridays in the fall.  For instance, softball, where Ash Grove beat Miller 7 to 5 last night.  Shelly Wilson had 3 hits to lead the Pirates.  Boy’s swimming and diving also.  Why yesterday Kickapoo [...]

    Morrisville coaching news

    Saturday, April 19th, 2008

In a Morrisville school board meeting held Thursday night, former girls softball and basketball coach Melody Stewart (Campbell) was offered her coaching position back. No word as of yet if she has accepted. Also, an unconfirmed report says that the school superintendent, Ron McIntire, resigned at the board meeting possibly in connection with [...]

    More coaching chaos

    Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Tonight I received an unconfirmed report from a very reliable source that Webb City head girls basketball coach Walter Resa has stepped down after a fine year that ended in the state quarterfinals with a loss to eventual state champion Bolivar. Taking his place will be the head girls basketball coach from rival Carl [...]
