With the fall sports season officially over, our question of the week asks what was the best moment of the fall? I’ve listed a number of my favorites for you to choose from. I could have listed another half dozen at least easily but we’ll go with this. Anyone that wants to post their favorite [...] The Joplin Globe has an article today announcing that McAuley Catholic and College Heights Christian have decided to co-op together on four sports allowing students from both schools to participate. McAuley will allow CHC students on their football and girls soccer teams, while College Heights will see McAuley students on their boys soccer and tennis [...] One of the things I love to post here are the all-conference, all-district, and all-state teams. Both for athletic & academic performance. But they can be hard to find. Football is no problem. Basketball isn’t quite so easy to find, but I can still wrangle up a few of them. But the other sports are [...] The Ozarks has it’s first state champion of 2009 as the Rozell sisters from Kickapoo take the class 2 doubles title yesterday. Mackenzie & Carlee swept through their first 3 matches of the tournament dropping only 4 games along the way. They would lose more than that in the first set of the final as [...] 4:30 PM – Carlee and Mackenzie Rozell couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect day 1. They drop only 2 games as they advance to tomorrow’s semifinals. After winning their first round match 6-1, 6-1, they better than in the next round going 6-0, 6-0. Danielle Benson and Annie Armstong also advance in the consolation [...] It’s a huge day in Ozarks sports. Not only is it week 2 of the district playoffs with a number of big matchups, but we have state championships going on in softball & girls tennis. Up in St. Joseph, the Republic Lady Tigers and Pleasant Hope Lady Pirates are getting ready for the semifinal games.
