Missouri Basketball All-Star Games

The MBCA Missouri Basketball All-Star Games were played last Friday at Bible Baptist College in Springfield. The contingent of local players were led by Dominique Long of Waynesville who took MVP honors in the class 4 & 5 boys game. Long scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead his White team to a 89-56 win. Kickapoo’s Dusty Allen chipped in big time as well with 18 points and 10 rebounds. In the class 1, 2, & 3 boys game, the Blue team won 89-75 as three players scored 20 or more. MVP was Marcus Denmon of Hogan Prep with 25 points and 7 rebounds.
And the girls side, Ozark’s Courtney Gimlin scored 22 points and had 7 rebounds to help the Blue team to a 79-55 win in the class 4 & 5 game. Yvonne Anderson of Hickman had 25 points to take MVP. Three Ozarks girls scored in double figures in the class 1, 2, & 3 game. Sam Deragowski of Catholic, Miranda Vaught of Crane, and Skyline’s Kristi Wilkerson. But Westran’s Kayla Rice was the game MVP with 24 points as the White team won the closest game of the night 64-57.
