Cassville coach David Large must have a crystal ball. In mid August I asked coach Large who he thought was a sleeper in the Big 8. He answered by saying, “I don’t know, but look out for Rogersville.” Something like 100 miles away, no conference or district connection and somehow it was coach Smith’s Rogersville Wildcats (1st playoff appearance ever) who played Cassville for a shot at the final four. Wow!

One more football phenomenon; Joboo you’ll like this one. Coach Beckham at Hillcrest told me Dorial Green received a hand written letter from UCLA congratulating him on his season and expressing their interest in recruiting him. Only a freshman and already earning national attention. Double wow!

How about those Fair Grove Eagles! Coming in under the radar not expected to do anywhere near this good. the last time Fair Grove had o record like this one was back in ‘92, when head coach Jason O’Neil was on the team. All I have to say is WOW and congrats. Good luck one Saturday against Maryville.

Absolutely. Hopefully they take down Maryville and finally get the statewide recognition they deserve. They’re as good as any class 2 team in the state. Good luck to Coach O’Neal and the Eagles.
