State cross country team results

As I try to get caught up on some things, here’s a big one. Last Saturday’ state cross country meet. Some fantastic results for the Ozarks teams on both the boys and girls side.
On the boys side in class 1, College Heights dominated the field to win the state title. Five College heights runners placed in the top 7. Hermitage took third. The East Newton and Catholic boys both had top 10 finishes in class 2. Class 3 say the West Plains boys take their thirteenth state cross country title. And Lebanon and Kickapoo also found themselves in the top 10 in class 4.
For the girls, Kickapoo finished fourth in class 4 to make it a fine day for Chiefs runners on both sides. But not as good as it was for West Plains as the Lady Zizzers paired their eleventh state title with the boys first place finish. East Newton secured second in class 2 for their best finish ever. Mountain Grove joined them in the top 10. And lastly in class 1, the College Heights girls also took a top 10 finish.
Congratulations to all our Ozarks teams the competed at state, and especially to our state champions. The College Heights and West Plains boys, and the West Plains girls.
