I missed this being out of town Monday, but the Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association released their first set of regular season rankings Monday. Their plan is to release them each Monday until the end of the season. The Ozarks is extremely well represented with multiple entrants in all 4 classes.
In class four, Ozark sits at number 8, up from number 9 in the preseason rankings. While Glendale enters the poll at number 10.
Class three has three Ozarks representatives with Reeds Spring leading the way at number 2, the same place they held in the preseason poll. Rogersville has risen from number 7 in the preseason to number 4. Mountain Grove drops to number 10 from number 8. Dropping out of the top 10 was Mt. Vernon.
Stockton holds onto its preseason spot at number 2 in class two. Pierce City has climbed from number 5 to number 3. And undefeated Strafford remains in the number 9 spot.
And last, but not least, class one is dominated by Ozarks teams with half of the top 10 hailing from here. New Covenant leads the Ozarks clan at number 3, up from preseason number 8. Lockwood and Osceola remain steady at numbers 4 and 5 respectively. Verona is right behind moving into the poll at number 6. And rounding out the group is Winona who drops from number 2 to number 8.
