Both area teams had a rough time yesterday in St. Louis, with both Catholic & Glendale falling in the semis. Catholic played a solid game but was done in by a couple of good goals and great goal tending from Trinity Catholic keeper Taylor Zerbe. The Lady Irish outshot Trinity 13-4 and had a 6-2 edge [...] YES!!! Glendale moves on the the championship! 2-1 in double overtime over DeSmet(We’ve got girls!). A historic win achieved by the Falcons. The first Ozarks team to reach the large class final. After falling behind in the 31st minute, Devon Newport tied the game in the 53rd on a 25 yard free kick. It remained the way until the opening moments of the second OT when Ryan Squires rose and headed in a corner kick from Devon. Falcon’s win! They’ll take on Rockhurst, a 2-0 winner over McCluer North, at 7 PM tomorrow in the first ever class 3 final without a St. Louis team.
