The Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association announced their all state teams this week. And they are simply loaded with Ozarks players.
Class 1 is dominated by seven first team players from four different teams. Eminence, Osceola, and Winona each place two players on the first team to lead the way. Osceola’s first teamers Imani Hairston and Meghan Schrock were joined by Alexis Self on the Honorable Mention list to give Osceola the most players selected of class 1 local teams.
Ash Grove and Fair Grove each had a first team selection and an honorable mention selection to lead the area squads. And Clever’s Bridget Hanafin winds up her high school volleyball career with her third all-state selection.

And to wrap it all up, Rogersville took 3rd place in class 3 with a 25-18,25-13 sweep of Cape Girardeau Notre Dame. Chloe Blount leads the effort with 11 kills as the Wildcats easily avenge their split at the hands of Notre Dame from the previous day that kept them from the title game.
So four of the five Ozarks teams in Kansas City end their weekend with a win. Three third place finishes, a second place, and one state championship. Not bad at all. Now only 9 months until practice starts again.

And that was after Winona earlier dispatched a very strong Summersville team 2-0 in the semifinals.
Other #1s that fell include Kickapoo, to #4 Nixa in the semis. Nixa would complete their daily double with a 3 set win over #2 seed Webb City to advance to state play. And #1 seed Jasper goes down in the semifinals to Rich Hill.
More finals coming tonight followed by the schedule for first round action.

A huge volleyball matchup lived up to the hype last night as Ozark downed Webb City 2-1. Webb City grabbed the first set 28-26 serving notice that they wouldn’t be an easy win. But Ozark rallied to take an epic second set 29-27. In the third set, Ozark took control and Webb City couldn’t overtake them as the Lady Tigers take the match with a 25-14 final set.
On the soccer pitch Cassville won the second meeting with Monett on the Cubs home field 3-2. While Camdenton took a 2-1 overtime victory from Glendale in Ozark Conference action.
