Some great matchups of top level teams last night. Starting on the girls side with Mt. Vernon traveling to Stockton. Her finish puts Halfway in the top 10 team standings at seventh. Liberal shares eighth place with four other teams as Kylie Brown took fourth in the 3200 and their 4X800 relay team took eighth. On the [...] Couch falls from the ranks of the the unbeaten, but they have nothing to hang their heads about as they go to West Plains and fall to the Zizzers 46-40. Alisha Shipley led the West Plains charge with 18 points as they go to 15-6 on the year. Couch goes to 19-1 and has to [...] The Couch Lady Indians go to 16-0 and get a big win 57-49 over Micah Stevens and Thayer to win the championship of the Thayer Winter Classic. Tara Combs scored 19 to lead Couch with Whitney Mills netting 18. On the boys side, Branson goes to 2-0 in the Webb City Classic dropping the host team [...] Possibly the stat line of the year last night as Laquey’s Tyler Bock put up 30 points and brought down 20 rebounds in the Lady Hornets 51-45 win over Licking. Laquey goes to 16-1 with the win.
