Last week, Ole at Springfield Soccer posted the girls roster for the Southwest Missouri All-Star Game to go along with the boys roster announced in Nov. So I thought this would be a good time to make sure every one here put it on their calendars. June 15th at Cooper #1 at the Lake Country [...] In sports, we often make reference to ‘going out on top’. Coaches and players who retire after winning a championship. An athlete walking away from the game while still one of the very best. Memories of those who have done so are plentiful. Sandy Koufax retiring while still the dominant pitcher [...] After lightning forced the premature end of the girls game Thursday night, both games have been rescheduled for this Thursday. Same start times (girls game at 6 PM, boys at 8 PM) at Lake Country Soccer. Again, this will be your last chance to see some of these athletes play.
