Towe’s firing made official

After listening to Randy Towe’s supporters give statements in favor of retaining him, and putting Towe through an almost hour long closed door meeting, the Nixa school board voted unanimously to fire him. That was not unexpected. But the board just added to their crass treatment of Towe by delivering the official decision to him via telephone around 11 PM last night instead of handing down an official decision at the meeting. I’m not a Nixa resident or graduate, nor am I condoning or condemning his firing as I don’t know all the facts. I just know that after 23 years of service to the school and the success Nixa has enjoyed under Towe, he deserves better than this. Good luck Coach Towe.
