    Wednesday district golf

    By Joboo | May 1, 2008

The big news on the local sports scene today comes from the golf course where defending state champion and powerhouse team Glendale was defeated in district competition by Ozark. And only 2 Glendale golfers advance to state competition. Ozark rallied from poor early scores with their last three golfers all posting state qualifying scores. To add insult to injury, the Falcons arch-rival Kickapoo will also be eligible for team competition as they placed the required 4 golfers in the individual competition. Brian Steele does salvage some pride for Glendale by earning co-medalist honors with Central’s Kevin Kring. But all in all, a disappointing ending to a great year for Glendale.
