Week 4 state football rankings
By Joboo | September 24, 2008
Alright! Now we’ve got some action. A little bit of a shakeup in class 1, and number of teams starting to get some love in the state polls. Here’s the link for the full poll.
Miller is now the highest ranked area class 1 team at number 3 following Thayer’s first loss. But Thayer only fell to number 6 after their loss to Liberty.
Speaking of the Eagles, look who got a vote this week in the class 2 poll. That right, Liberty. After a strong offensive performance against Mountain Grove and the win over Thayer, the pollsters took notice. Fair Grove continues their steady climb up the class 2 ranks. They’re up to number 7 from number 8 last week.
In class 3, Monett continues to reign as number 1 although they did lose a first place vote this week. Mountain Grove is sitting just outside the top 10.
Carthage and Webb City remain number 2 & 3 this week in class 4. Webb City does pick up a first place vote though. And Bolivar makes it’s appearance in the top 10 at number 10 replacing Neosho who fell out after their narrow loss to Nixa. They still received a vote though. And Branson is picking up a few votes also now.
And both Rolla and Waynesville got a vote this week in the class 5 poll marking the first appearance for the Ozarks since the preseason.
